Pattern with Gustav Klimt

Zentangles are a really fun way to teach pattern, but I always like to have a little art history thrown into the mix! Students were encouraged to create at least seven different patterns using a pre-made pattern packet as inspiration. They found the “perfect head” from a magazine, cut it out and created a robe in the style of Gustav Klimt. Students then filled in the background with various patterns and focused on craftsmanship as they filled it with color.
